In addition, she was an athlete that placed second in the 100 meter relay. Jones was a winner of the indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships in both 2003 and 2004. Jones started her career in 2005 after she completed her bachelor's degree. She began to train for a career in track. Jones took home the Torino Memorial in 2005, and also Ostrava and Heusden races the following year.
